We understand that solar farms need to be built and controlled to an incredibly high standard in order to meet the standards set by HSE.
Having worked on dozens of solar farms throughout the UK, Silverstone are experts in working with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors and supporting their build.
High Voltage Operations
At Silverstone, we pride ourselves on having the most stringently controlled High Voltage Operations in the industry.
We can perform the High Voltage Operations of your solar farms, ensuring your compliance with HSE requirements of the Electricity at Work Act.
Silverstone employs Authorised, and Senior Authorised Persons for High Voltage Works. We follow a DNO safety model, the most stringent in the industry – using a control engineer model to ensure that all works are carried out to the highest safety levels – ensuring the safety of the people working and the plant installed.
We can provide support for your solar farm, providing High Voltage expertise as you first energise your site, and supporting you through to the successful completion of PAC testing and handover.
We’re fully qualified via the NICEIC to inspect solar farm sites and provide certification that the work conforms to BS7671 – the UK’s wiring regulations.
If your site requires BS7671 certification, Silverstone can inspect and evaluate on-site contractors work, confirm their testing results and make sure that the required UK wiring regulations have been complied with throughout the location – providing BS7671 certification when these standards have been met.
